When 12Sports: D-Backs on Deck put the spotlight on Na7ive Nations, they weren’t just covering a sports story. They were recognizing a movement.
This summer, Na7ive Nations became the first all-tribal team to compete in the Babe Ruth World Series. But the story doesn’t end on the field—it’s about creating opportunity, visibility, and pride for Indigenous athletes who have long been overlooked.
Founder and former MLB pitcher DJ Carrasco captured the heart of our mission:
“There are a lot of Native athletes who are really good at baseball and softball. We play too—and that’s part of my mission, to showcase Native talent across the globe.”
For athlete Jace Huma (Hopi Tribe), the World Series wasn’t just a tournament. It was proof of what’s possible:
“Playing at the World Series meant so much to me. Knowing that all the hard work and dedication I put into this sport paid off—and being with different tribes from across the world—was truly special.”
Moments like these remind us: this isn’t just about wins and losses. It’s about representation, generational impact, and Indigenous youth seeing role models who look like them.
