Nati7ve Na7ions and the 7G Foundation are excited to announce a historic partnership with Babe Ruth-Cal Ripken Baseball and PONY.
This collaboration establishes the first national charter for Native American baseball and softball teams, creating a pathway for athletes from kindergarden to pro level ages to compete at elite levels while celebrating Indigenous heritage and fostering leadership.
“This is more than a sports initiative; it’s a transformative opportunity to empower Native youth and communities” said DJ Carrasco, Founder and CEO of Native Nations.
“By partnering with Babe Ruth-Cal Ripken Baseball and 7G, we’re opening doors for Indigenous athletes to thrive on the field and in life.”
The program will serve as a gateway to premier events, including Babe Ruth-Cal Ripken, PONY tournaments and future opportunities like the World Baseball Classic.
It combines athletics, education, and wellness to develop well-rounded individuals while honoring Native culture.
Key Highlights:
Nationwide Reach: Inclusive of players from all 574 federally recognized Tribal Nations.
Holistic Development: Programs integrate athletic skill-building with education, health, and leadership training.
Intranational Native Charter: First of its kind, offering structured competition for Native youth ages 8–18.
Elite Access: Direct pipeline to top national tournaments and showcases, unlocking opportunities in collegiate and pro-level play.
Culture-Driven Leadership: Youth programming will integrate Native language, history, wellness, and leadership training.
“Our mission is to build a legacy for Native youth through sports, education, and culture,” said Bennae Calac, Executive Director of the 7G Foundation. “This partnership is a step toward creating lasting opportunities for Indigenous athletes while celebrating their cultural identity.”
